Privacy Policy
General policy — Revision 1 · Effective September 18, 2026
This policy describes what Rise Every Region actually collects, stores, and does with your information.
Information we collect
Account and sign-in. When you create an account, we collect the email address and password you provide. When you sign up or sign in, your password is submitted through our servers to Supabase, which provides our authentication service and handles verifying it. We do not store your readable password in our application database, and we do not intentionally log it. We use your email address to let you sign in and for account-related communication.
Age gate. To determine whether you can use Rise Every Region as an adult or need a guardian's approval, we ask for your date of birth and store it.
Guardian information, for players under 18. If the date of birth you provide indicates you are under 18, we store the guardian name, email address, and relationship you submit, so we can contact your guardian and request their decision. We send your guardian an email containing a single-use link to approve or decline. If needed, another invitation may be requested. We keep a record of that decision — including the guardian's name, email, and relationship at the time of the decision — whether it is approved or declined. Guardian approval allows your account to proceed, but publishing a public profile remains unavailable in V1 regardless of this approval, until we implement a separate guardian authorization specifically covering public visibility.
Player profile. If you complete a player profile, we store what you provide: player name, country, region, position, club or academy, preferred foot, and a profile photo if you upload one.
Public player profiles
If you choose to publish your profile, the following becomes visible to anyone who visits your public profile page, without needing a Rise Every Region account: your player name, country, region (if provided), position, club or academy (if provided), preferred foot (if provided), your profile photo (if uploaded), and your linked YouTube video — shown only once it has been verified as available and embeddable, is not marked Made for Kids, and your agreement to this policy for the YouTube feature is current.
We never make public your date of birth, guardian information, email address, or any other account details.
Guardian-approved accounts are never made public, regardless of any attempt to publish, until we introduce a separate guardian approval specifically covering public visibility.
Unpublishing stops new visitors from seeing your profile immediately. Information already loaded, copied, or cached by a visitor or a third party before you unpublished may continue to exist outside our control. A previously loaded photo link specifically may continue to work for up to five minutes after unpublishing before it expires.
For search engines that support it, we ask them not to index public profile pages. We cannot guarantee that no search engine or other third party will ever display them.
Public profile views
If you publish your profile, we count each time your public profile page loads successfully. This is a simple running total, not a measure of unique visitors, engagement, or discovery — it includes refreshes, repeat visits, your own visits to your own public profile, and possible automated traffic. You can see your own current count on your profile preview page; it is never shown to anyone else.
YouTube video feature
This section's terms — Version 2026-09-15 · Effective September 15, 2026 — govern when you must agree again to continue using this feature.
Rise Every Region uses YouTube API Services so you can link a YouTube video to your profile. Using this feature is also covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
When you link a video, we send its video ID to YouTube to confirm that YouTube allows it to play on Rise Every Region and to check whether YouTube has marked it Made for Kids. We don't send your name, email, or any other account details, and we never ask you to sign in to Google.
We store the video ID and the result of our verification check securely. Our trusted database and hosting providers process it only as needed to operate and secure the feature. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
On your own profile page, we may show you status guidance about that check — for example, whether it's still pending or couldn't be completed. The verification result's internal details (its status, timestamps, and whether YouTube has marked it Made for Kids) are not included on your public profile — they are used only to decide whether your video can appear there.
A verification result that hasn't been refreshed in 21 days is automatically deleted, and the linked video can then be checked again — your video stays linked throughout.
If we make a change that affects how this feature handles your information, you'll need to agree to the update again before continuing to use it.
Questions, or want your linked video's data deleted? Email privacy@riseeveryregion.com.
Videos play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, both on your own profile page and on your public profile page if you publish it — this means your browser talks directly to YouTube/Google under their Privacy Policy. Videos marked Made for Kids are never playable here.
Cookies and session storage
Rise Every Region uses cookies only to keep you signed in. These are set and read by Supabase, our authentication provider, and are necessary for the site to recognize your session as you move between pages. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking your activity across other websites.
Separately, we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic — for example, how many people visit and which pages are viewed most. This does not use cookies or any other persistent identifier. Visitors are distinguished only by a temporary, anonymous value generated from each visit, which is automatically discarded after 24 hours and can never be used to recognize the same visitor again or to track anyone across other websites. We remove a web address's query parameters before this data is recorded, and pages containing a one-time approval or confirmation link (such as the guardian-approval page) are excluded from this measurement entirely. A public player profile is recorded only as a generic “player profile” page view, never with the player's identifier, and our site tells browsers to share only its main address, never a full page address, when you move between its pages. This information is aggregated and cannot be used to identify a specific visitor.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to operate Rise Every Region:
- Supabase — our authentication, database, and file-storage provider. It handles signing you in, sends sign-up confirmation and password-reset emails, and stores the account, profile, and guardian information described in this policy, along with the photos you upload.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. It runs the website, the scheduled background checks described in the YouTube video feature section, and the cookie-less aggregate site-traffic analytics described above.
- Postmark — our email provider. It sends guardian approval invitations and operational alert emails on our behalf.
- YouTube/Google — used only as described in the YouTube video feature section, to verify a linked video and play it back.
Where your information is processed
Our service providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Their own terms and privacy policies also apply.
How long we keep information
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active, or as needed for the purposes described in this policy. The one automatic exception today: a YouTube verification result that hasn't been refreshed in 21 days is automatically deleted, as described above. Outside that one case, we do not currently apply any other automatic deletion timer — information is retained until you request its deletion or we determine it's no longer needed.
Deletion and your rights
You can ask us to delete your account at any time, regardless of your age-gate status. Email privacy@riseeveryregion.com.
If your guardian previously approved your account, your guardian can also request full account deletion, using the guardian email already on file. If your guardian approval is still pending or was declined, your guardian can instead ask us to remove only the guardian information they provided — not your whole account.
Before acting on a request, we verify it's genuine by confirming control of the email address already on file for the account, or, for a previously approved guardian, the guardian email already on file. Account deletion is processed manually by us, not automatically or instantly; we'll confirm with you once it's complete.
You can also ask us about the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information, at the same email address. We handle these requests manually and don't currently offer an automated data export.
Deleting your account removes it from our active database, including linked guardian records where applicable. It cannot remove copies that someone else already saved, viewed, or cached before deletion, and it may not immediately clear temporary caches or logs kept by us or by our service providers.
Information about players under 18
Rise Every Region asks for a date of birth to apply an age gate. We store the account's email address and the self-declared date of birth you provide for this purpose.
If the date of birth you provide indicates you are under 18, we store the guardian name, email address, and relationship you submit, so we can contact your guardian and request their decision. Guardian approval allows the account to proceed, but publishing a public profile remains unavailable in V1 for players under 18, even after this approval, until we implement a separate guardian authorization specifically covering public visibility.
Security
We use practices designed to protect your information, including restricting database access to only what each part of our system needs, and using short-lived, expiring links for private files like photos. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Rise Every Region changes. If a change materially affects how the YouTube video feature handles your information, you'll need to agree again before continuing to use that feature, as described above. For other changes, we'll update the effective date below.
